Matti Vikkula, President and CEO
CEO of Scandinavian Biogas since 2011. Mr. Vikkula holds a Masters in Economics from the Helsinki School of Economics. He is chairman of AinaCom OY and Afison Oy. Previously management group member at the telecom operator Elisa, CEO of Saunalahti, partner at PwC Management Consulting and chairman of Efore Oyj.
Michael Wallis Olausson, Director Business Area Sweden
Employed since 2009. Mr. Olausson is responsible for Business Area Sweden, including customer and business strategies and development of new business opportunities and collaborations. Formerly Lt. Colonel, Swedish Armed Forced and management consultant at Deloitte. MBA at the Stockholm School of Economics.
Jörgen Ejlertsson, R&D Director
Professor Ejlertsson is on of the co-funders of Scandinavian Biogas Fuels AB. and has been active within R&D since then. He has a Major in Agricultural sciences from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), and a PhD in environmental microbiology from Linköping University where he is a senior lecturer in Water and Environmental Studies.
Lotta Lindstam, CFO
Employed since 2011. Ms. Lindstam is CFO and responsible for internal and external financial reporting and personnel director. Previous employers include publishers Hachette and Metro. Certified Controller, IHM Business School.
Jean Collin, CTO
Employed since 2007. Mr. Collin is responsible for the engineering department, which encompasses project (delivery of plant solutions) and R&D (development of new digestion concepts) activities. Master of Agroecology from ISARA, European Master Agroecology, Lyon.
Lars Hammarlo, Senior Operations advisor and Biogas Specialist
Employed since 2010. Mr. Hammarlo primary responsibilities include coordinating and developing the technical operations of the group’s plants to increase profitability.
Johan Larsson, Head of Sourcing & Supply Chain
Employed since 2012. Mr. Larsson is responsible for the Company’s strategy and implementation of substrate supply, biofertiliser sales and associated logistics solutions. Previously worked with strategic purchasing of liquid biofuels and physical commodity trading (e.g., coal, metal concentrates and metals). MBA at Uppsala University.

Göran Persson, Chairman of the Board
Born 1949. Chairman of Scandinavian Biogas since November 2009. Prime Minister of Sweden 1996 – 2006, Chancellor of the Exchequer 1994 – 1996. Mr Persson’s extensive experience covers public affairs, financial markets, mergers & acquisitions, international politics and the EU.
Born 1963. Elected as a board member in 2009. MBA from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, USA. Twenty years of experience as CEO of small and mid-sized companies and several years of experience as management consultant (including at Semcon AB). Mr Bengtsson is a board member and partner of Bengtssons Tidnings AB. Mr Bengtsson invests in renewable energy and other companies and sits on the board of several companies.
Born 1976. Elected as board member 2015. M.Sc in Chemical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Mrs Anderson fifteen years’ experience in working with implementation and increased use of biogas as a vehicle fuel. Mrs Anderson has worked as a fuel and transportation consultant and expert at 2050 Consulting since 2014. Prior to that she was responsible for fuel and energy strategy at Stockholm Public Transport (SL).
Born 1976. Elected as board member in 2011. M.SC. from the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki. Mr Ahlström has worked for Ahlström Capital since autumn 2010 and has overall responsibility for the company’s new cleantech investments. Mr. Ahlström is currently on the board of three of the company’s fund portfolio companies.
Born 1947. Elected as board member in 2013. Economist. Mr Hansson has served as CEO of seven Scania group companies the group’s bus operations and bus factory in Denmark, and has established a bus factory in Russia. He currently run his own business, sits on the boards of Leax Group and ATG and serves as chairman of Scandia Bus Production in Finland.
Born 1965. Elected as board member in 2017. M.Sc. EE Chalmers, Columbia Business School. At present Mr Schelin is involved in several boards and advisory roles. Previously, he has been CEO at Ragn-Sells AB and COO at Niscayah Group. Mr Schelin has also had a number of senior roles in the Telecom sector and most recently as VP services at Ericsson in South East Asia.
Erik Danielsson, co-founder of Scandinavian Biogas was nominated as Honorary Chairman of the company November 26, 2009. Erik Danielsson’s drive and entrepreneurial spirit has made a significant contribution to Scandinavian Biogas development. During his years as chairman of the board Erik Danielsson has succeeded to establish operations in both Sweden and in South Korea. He has shown the ability to take the company forward into the next phase, despite several challenges such as the difficult financial situation during the financial crisis during 2008 and 2009.
