Three main area of development
LIFE has three key area of development:
- Nature and Biodiversity
- Climate change
The project EffiSludge for LIFE - answers a specific call on Climate Change Mitigation (CCM) to support novel solutions that help cut greenhouse gas emissions in different economic sectors (the pulp and paper mill industry in this specific case), thus further strengthening the EU’s commitment for transition to a low-carbon and climate-resilient economy.
The European Commission manages the LIFE programme, but the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) has the mandate to implement many components of the LIFE programme with the support of external selection, monitoring and communication teams.
